What laser power should I choose?

Power should follow the daily material mix, typical and maximum thickness, required edge quality, production volume and utility budget. A 3kW machine can be a strong general-fabrication choice; 6kW adds throughput and thickness margin; 12kW and higher classes are reviewed for production workloads that justify the complete high-power infrastructure. Open table or enclosed exchange table?

Open single-table machines reduce entry cost and simplify material access. Enclosed exchange-table systems improve loading workflow, process containment and production throughput. The correct choice also depends on laser safety, floor space and budget. Compare open and enclosed systems.

Can a fiber laser cut aluminum, stainless and mild steel?

Yes, when the source, cutting head, process parameters, assist gas and machine build are appropriate for the material and thickness. Each material has different reflection, heat and edge-quality considerations.

What utilities are required?

The complete project can require three-phase electrical service or an approved power solution, chiller, compressed air, oxygen or nitrogen, filtration, extraction and a qualified grounding and disconnect plan. Requirements are confirmed for the exact machine. Review electrical planning.

What is included with installation?

The written quote defines freight, unloading, placement, electrical and gas preparation, startup, calibration, sample cutting and operator training. Site readiness must be completed before the scheduled installer arrives.

What information should I send for a quote?

Material grades, typical and maximum thickness, sheet size, monthly volume, available power, gas strategy, delivery ZIP code, unloading method and desired production date.
