Press Brake Hydraulic Maintenance

Connect the production requirement to the right machine family, exact configuration, facility plan, delivery scope, ownership path, and technical resources.

Oil condition and cleanliness affect force, motion and valve life

Press-brake hydraulic maintenance depends on the exact oil, reservoir, pump, filter, valve, cylinder, cooling and duty-cycle design.

Routine checks

  • Oil level, temperature, color, odor, foam, water, contamination and leak condition.
  • Filter indicator, replacement interval and correct filter specification.
  • Pump, motor, coupling, noise, vibration, pressure and heat.
  • Hoses, fittings, manifold, valves, cylinders, seals and accumulators where applicable.
  • Y1/Y2 response, drift, parallelism, approach, bending and return motion.

Oil replacement

Use the manufacturer-approved viscosity and specification. Record operating hours, environment, laboratory analysis when justified, filter changes and contamination events. Do not mix unknown oils or treat a color change alone as the complete condition assessment.

Safety

Support the ram by the approved mechanical method, complete lockout/tagout, release pressure and use qualified personnel. Never work under an unsupported ram or loosen pressurized components.
