Machine service and support
Identify the machine, issue, location, production impact, parts need, installation requirement, training need, or warranty question.
On-site service is reviewed after the machine, failure, location, production impact, documentation, safety conditions, required skills, parts, tools, access and travel are understood. A field visit is not automatically the first or best step; remote diagnostics and parts identification should be completed when practical.
The proposal should identify travel, labor, estimated duration, technician capability, customer support personnel, parts, tools, testing, exclusions, overtime, lodging, cancellation, follow-up and whether repair completion depends on additional parts or factory support.
The customer remains responsible for a safe workplace, qualified electrical and rigging work, lockout/tagout, material handling and operator control. The service record should document findings, work performed, replaced parts, test results, remaining risks and recommended next actions.
