Machines, applications, and planning

Machine Footprint & Door-Clearance Planning

Connect the production requirement to the right machine family, exact configuration, facility plan, delivery scope, ownership path, and technical resources.

Overall machine dimensions are only the starting point

Delivery and operation require space for crates, forklift or crane movement, doors, aisles, transformer, chiller, compressor, extraction, gas, loading, unloading, maintenance and operator access.

Measure the route

  • Exterior access, gate, grade, dock, ramp and truck position.
  • Door width and height at the narrowest frame, not only the nominal opening.
  • Turns, columns, low ceilings, lights, sprinklers, conduit, mezzanines and floor transitions.
  • Forklift mast, crane hook, spreader, rigging and machine orientation.
  • Crate versus uncrated dimensions and approved disassembly limits.

Plan the operating envelope

Add material loading and unloading, table exchange, tube stock, press-brake front/rear material, doors and panels, filter access, coolant service, electrical cabinet swing, head or tooling access, chip or slag removal and safe operator zones.

Document before shipment

Create a scaled layout with machine, support equipment, utilities, clearances, route and final orientation. Confirm dimensions and weight from the exact shipping and installation documents.

Request installation planning.

Planning pathway

Connect the requirement to the complete machine project

Application and capacity

Define material, geometry, thickness or capacity, production volume, quality, workflow, and future work.

Machine and facility

Compare configuration, controller, options, utilities, extraction, footprint, access, unloading, and placement.

Ownership and support

Confirm price path, delivery, startup, training, warranty, service, parts, financing, rental, used, or trade-in options.
