HVAC laser-cutting applications can include galvanized or mild-steel panels, flanges, brackets, transitions, plenums, supports and specialty components. Material mix, gauge, coating, sheet size, nesting, part marking, fume extraction and downstream forming control the project.
Thin-sheet HVAC work may not justify the highest available laser power. Compare actual cycle time, loading, nesting, piercing, automation, electrical and gas cost. A lower-power machine with the right workflow can outperform an oversized machine with poor material handling.
Galvanized and coated materials require extraction, exposure, filter, fire and waste review.
