Machine service and support

Laser Cutting Head Crash Assessment

Identify the machine, issue, location, production impact, parts need, installation requirement, training need, or warranty question.

Stop repeated operation after a cutting-head collision

A crash can damage the nozzle, ceramic, capacitive sensor, protective window, autofocus mechanism, head body, fiber connector, Z-axis, anti-collision mount, cable, gas path or machine geometry. Repeated resets can increase damage.

Immediate safe actions

  • Stop cutting and record the alarm, program location and collision sequence.
  • Do not look into the optical path, open the head or source, disconnect the delivery fiber or bypass interlocks.
  • Inspect only accessible external condition under documented safe shutdown.
  • Photograph the nozzle, ceramic, head, mount, Z-axis area, material, tip-up or obstruction and controller screen.
  • Preserve damaged parts and do not install unverified optics or nozzles.

Assessment scope

Service may review mechanical alignment, anti-collision mount, sensor and height control, nozzle centering, gas path, autofocus motion, protective optics, Z-axis reference, electrical connections and a controlled test after repairs. Optical contamination or internal damage may require approved component service or replacement.
