Machines, applications, and planning
Connect the production requirement to the right machine family, exact configuration, facility plan, delivery scope, ownership path, and technical resources.
Stainless-steel fiber-laser cutting should be reviewed by alloy, thickness, finish, protective film, flatness, edge requirement, heat tint, burr, gas purity, pressure, flow, nozzle, focus and downstream welding or finishing.
High-pressure nitrogen is commonly selected for an oxide-free edge. The gas system must support required purity, pressure and peak flow at the machine. Cylinders, bulk supply or generation should be compared from real consumption and production duty.
Clean dry air can be evaluated for selected stainless applications when the edge color, oxidation, dross and downstream process are acceptable. Compressor, dryer, filtration and stable delivered pressure are critical.
Confirm alloy, surface finish, grain direction, protective film type and whether film is laser-compatible. Unknown adhesives, coatings or contamination can affect fumes, piercing and edge quality.
Record edge color, dross, roughness, taper, heat effect, small-hole quality, part flatness and downstream requirements on the actual material.
Planning pathway
Define material, geometry, thickness or capacity, production volume, quality, workflow, and future work.
Compare configuration, controller, options, utilities, extraction, footprint, access, unloading, and placement.
Confirm price path, delivery, startup, training, warranty, service, parts, financing, rental, used, or trade-in options.
